Weekly Update

I went in yesterday for my weekly update (I am not sure what week it is since I am being induced 10 days early). There is not much to update...for those who don't know, Camden flipped last week in the middle of the night! This week, Dr. Neal checked my progress and I have made VERY little. I am dialated one centimeter and my cervix is already soft (I am not sure to what precent.) I made him estimate what he thought Miss Camden would weigh in at, and he said probably 7 lbs 11oz. So she is going to be a healthy baby;)

The rest of Camden's furniture is in, and I will pick it up on Saturday. We are planning on finishing up the nursery within the next couple of days, so stay tuned for the newest pictures!

For all you moms, I know that I need to start packing my bag so that I am prepared, but I need tips on what to pack. Any help is welcomed!!

I'm glad I brought a couple of my own pillows. Hospital ones are not so great. I loved my drawstring pajama bottoms. Don't forget your cell phone and your camera! I can send you my list via email ... it's extensive. Mostly just get Jay packed, because Luke hadn't really packed yet for Cooper when he came - two weeks early!

Ally, I can't believe she'll be here so soon! I received the shower invitation today. Hopefully I'll be able to make it. I would love to be there.

As far as the hospital goes, bring PJs for you and also bring some gowns for Baby Camden. Otherwise, she'll be in those yucky paper gowns. ;)

I can't wait to meet her!

I didn't use half the stuff I packed. I was glad I brough shampoo cause I did end up taking a shower and washing my hair! Beyond that I only needed the clothes I brought for myself and Cassidee to wear home. Don't forget the baby book!!!

Remember to take something comfortable to wear home...it's been a long time for me, so beyond that, I have no idea!
I'm glad that the furniture is in, and I'll be happy to see it and help you get things in order while I'm there this weekend!

Time is FLYING by!!
Love you,
Nonna

For sure your own pillows!!!!! Even better pillows with pretty pillow cases...you'll appreciate something pretty in all the pictures. I took my own gowns, you won't want pants at first. Be sure to take clothes for Camden...gowns and one piece things are the best. I think pants look goofy on tiny babies. You will for sure want shampoo and a little makeup. The camera, baby book and toothbrush are vital!!! I thought I would need books, mags, or something else to do, but would not have used any of them. They give you a bunch of stuff to read about taking care of your baby and you will want to rest every chance you get.
Oh yeah, take everything they give you...you paid for it!!!

I am so giddy just thinking about the blessing you are about to receive. Everyone told me this before and I didn't really listen...being a mom is by far the most wonderful thing on this earth!!!

HAVE FUN

I found these nursing tank tops at Target and I loved them. I wore that and boxer shorts in the hospital. I was too hot to wear anything else! Don't forget a pair of slippers or flip flops. Also, you might want to bring maternity clothes to wear home. I wasn't quite ready to slip on those old jeans yet...
Ummm..what else...don't forget your cell phone charger!

Well, I don't have any "mom" advice since I'm not a mom yet, but I just wanted to say how excited I am for you! It's SO close!! I can't wait to hear that Camden is here. :-)
