It is hard to believe that my sweet baby is already one week old. She has already changed so much since we brought her home from the hospital. The first week has gone by quickly and has been so much fun! My mom has been here all week, so Camden has got to spend some quality time with her Mamaw. I am so thankful for having my mom here...she has been very helpful! We have to say goodbye to her tomorrow, which will be extremely hard, but Nonna (Jay's mom) will be on her way and we are excited to get to spend time with her.
Being a mom is so rewarding...my heart swells with pride every time someone comes over to visit us. They go on and on about how beautiful Camden is and I just stand there beaming!! I feel like I spend most of my day staring at her, trying to memorize every feature of her sweet body. I am so helplessly in love with this baby girl...my cup runnith over!
Camden and I spend a quite day at home; eating and sleeping, eating and sleeping, and waiting patiently for Daddy to come home. My favorite part of the day is when he finally gets home. His face lights up the minute he sees us. He puts everything down, and makes a bee line for "his girls." He gives me my hugs and kisses (so that I don't feel left out) and then picks up Camden. He spends the rest of the evening with her in his arms...refusing to put her down for anything. Again, my heart swells with love watching them interact together. He holds her tightly hugging and kissing her, rocking her, talking to her, changing her diaper, etc. He likes to lay in the chair and fall asleep with her in his arms. He has a hard time laying her in her bed at night, because he knows that he has to wake up in the morning and leave us again. He his such an amazing Daddy! I am so proud of my family and for the way that God has blessed us in these last 7 days.
