A Fun Filled Weekend!!

We had a big weekend...action packed...from the start to finish! On Friday Justin, Ashley and Shannen came to town. We haven't seen them in a while so it was definitely good to see them. Justin and Ashley brought Camden a personalized Elmo...it says her name, tells her schedule (lets her know when it is time to eat/sleep), tells her favorite foods, etc. It is really neat...it comes with a CD and a plug for the computer so that you can reprogram it when ever (it is hard to explain, but very cute!) They also got her a cute dress from Old Navy...thanks Justin and Ashley!

When they got here, we decided to go eat. Justin chose Babes and of course it was DELICIOUS!!

On Saturday morning, I got up and made cinnamon rolls for everyone. There was NOTHING on TV, so we watched MTV (Super Sweet 16 & Punk'd) most of the morning. Justin, Ashely and Shannen went to spend some time with Ashley's cousins, so Jay, Camden and I headed to Saginaw to watch Cameron play baseball. BOS was playing Birdville and really need to win! Cam had a good game and made some great plays at shortstop. Camden sat in her stroller, loving being outside and watching "Big Cam" play. After the game we ate at Taco Bell with Cory and Cam and then headed home to get ready...the fun wasn't over for the day!

On Saturday evening, Jay, Camden and I headed to Dallas for Paul and Katie's wedding shower. It was a lot of fun...we got to see a lot of friends that we hadn't seen in a long time. After the shower, we went over to Jason and Leigh Ann's to check out their house. Of course, Leigh Ann has it decorated really cute. We got to visit with them for a while (a much needed visit). I was sad to leave, but we had another big day ahead of us. On the way home, Jay and I talked about how much we have missed our friends!!

On Sunday morning, Jay, Camden, Randi and I got up early and headed to ballpark in Arlington for the AVP Tour (Pro Beach Volleyball). IT WAS AMAZING!!! We watched the women's semi-finals and women's finals. Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh dominated in both matches. I am not sure Jay realized how excited I was to be there until he turned to me at the start of the finals and I was crying;~) No, I am not pregnant (he asked me that)...it was just a dream come true to be there watching!

After the semi-finals match, Camden, Randi and I got to take a picture and talk with Kerri Walsh. She was so nice and personable...she was LOVING Camden. She kept talking about how cute she was. We saw her a couple more times before her final match and each time she walked passed us, she would say "Hi, Miss Camden." I was way more excited then Camden was ;~). We had a lot of fun and can't wait until the tour returns next year.

After the Championship game, we walked across the parking lot and met the rest of the family (Cam, Cory, Daddy and Cheryl) to watch the Rangers play the A's. It was a great game! The Rangers came back in the bottom of the 8th inning to beat the A's 5-3. It was a good way to wrap up the weekend!

When we got home, Little Cam was ready to hit the sack!! She took a quick bath and was out!

I can't remember having a weekend filled with this much fun! I am thankful for every part of it...seeing friends, fulfilling a dream and spending time with the family. I am so blessed to have family and friends to spend these special times with!

What a great time you all had! I have to tell you that the picture of you and Camden in front of Ranger Stadium is the background pic on my computer, though it may be replaced pretty quick with one of the pictures you've posted on this entry.
Thanks for leaving the messages. It feels good to be blogging again and hopefully I'll stay with it a lot longer than last time. (And yes, I had a wonderful BD!)

Random, I know, but...I met Walsh on the plane from Dallas to Orlando for junior olympic nationals when I was playing 14 and unders. She was SO tall and I was scared...thinking I could have to play girls that tall. I was relieved to learn that she was playing 18 and unders. Glad you got to watch them play
Camden is a trooper for putting in such LONG days.
