Opening Day, Dollar Dog Night, and New Toys...

I finally downloaded some pictures onto the computer and realized that I have some important things that I need to blog about. Lets start with Major League Baseball's opening day.

On the way to school that morning, I got the idea that I should do a themed Opening Day dinner. Jay and I LOVE the Rangers, so what better way to start off the season then with a special dinner. When I got to school, I emailed Jay to let him know that I had something good planned for dinner that night...we had fun emailing back and forth throughout the day. He wanted ideas of what was in store for that night, but I didn't let on...I can't remember ever being this excited to get home and cook. I picked up Camden from "school" and we ran to the store to get everything for that night. On the menu was Dollar Dogs, Garlic Fries, Ice Cold Beverages and Big Kahunas...all of our favorite ballpark food. When he got home, I made him go to our room and put on his Ranger jersey. He was still confused about what was going on. I took him out to the kitchen and wished him a Happy Opening Day! We had lots of fun eating all our favorite foods and watching the Rangers on TV (even though they lost to the STUPID Angels.)

On Wednesday, we went to the first Dollar Dog Night of the season. Paul called Jay and asked if we would like to join him and Katie in his company's suite. Would we??? Do you even have to ask?? So, not only did Camden get to experience her first Dollar Dog Night...she got to experience it in STYLE!! It was so good to get to see Paul and Katie and to sit and visit during the game. Having good friends and good company helped ease to pain of another Ranger loss. Isn't my little Ranger outfit cute?? Daddy did good picking it out!!

Today, we spent most of the day lounging around, cleaning house and trying to get the laundry done. Camden took almost a three hour nap when we got home from church, so I was able to get quite a bit done. When she woke up, she was ready to play. I decided to get out her jumper that my mom got for her. I put it together and put her in it. SHE LOVED IT!! She jumped and talked and jumped and talked. I was laughing so hard watching her. She wore her little self out. I took a video, but I am not sure how to load it, so these pictures will have to do for now.

Thanks Mamaw and Papaw Scott...I love this thing!!

You are so creative with the opening day dinner! That is probably a guys dream date! We went to the Tampa Bay game - its not as fun to go to a game where you don't care about the team :( Maybe we'll learn to love them, but doubt it!

Chad and I are die-hard Ranger fans too. Maybe we can meet out at the ballpark sometime this summer! I like your dinner idea... I may have to steal it next year!
