Happy 6 Months!

My sweet baby girl is already 6 months old. What an amazing journey it has already been. She has already changed in so many ways and becomes more independent each day. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful baby girl. I am reminded each day, when I see the lives that my kids at school are forced to live, how lucky Jay, Camden and I are...we have been blessed to have such a loving and supportive family to raise Camden in!

In just six short months, we have already passed several milestones...she rolls over, she has almost perfected sitting up, she is working on crawling (so far she just goes the wrong direction), and she is getting her first tooth. There is so much more to look forward to...I just wish that it would slow down! I feel like I can't absorb enough of her. I am afraid that I am going to look away, and when I turn back around she will be starting kindergarten. I found this poem on one of my friend's blog, but I feel that it sums up the feelings I have for sweet Camden...

"You Are My I Love You"
I am your parent; You are my child.
I am your quiet place; You are my wild.
I am your calm face; You are my giggle.
I am your wait; You are my wiggle.
I am your audience; You are my clown.
I am your London Bridge; You are my falling down.
I am your carrot sticks; You are my licorice.
I am your dandelion; You are my first wish.
I am your dinner; You are my chocolate cake.
I am your bedtime; You are my wide awake.
I am your finish line; You are my race.
I am your praying hands; You are my saving grace.
I am your favorite book; You are my new lines.
I am your night light; You are my starshine.
I am your lullaby; You are my peekaboo.
I am your goodnight kiss. You are my I love you.

Dear God-
Thank you for the sweet blessing that you sent us just 6 months ago. May I be the mother that she deserves and a guiding light for you. I pray that I can be a good example as a mother, a friend, a wife and most importantly, a loving christian women. Please help me cherish each and every moment and never take anything for granted. Be with Camden as she continues to grow and always let her know how special she is to her daddy and me! We love you and thank you for our gift!

Mav--I have been reading your blog recently but haven't been able to post until now (since I just started my own blog). Your daughter is absolutely precious, so adorable. It looks like you are doing well and enjoying life as a wife & mom. I'm actually moving to Dallas this summer. My husband and I have been living in Chicago the past 2 1/2 years. He's in law school and finishes in May, so we're moving to Dallas where he'll start working with a firm. Anyway, hope all is well and I look forward to hearing from you. I love this blogging stuff and getting back in touch with people.
Take care,
Kellee (Poe) Shoemaker
