It's Been A Long Time...

I have been wanting to come back to my blog for a while, but keep putting it off for many reasons.  Since we have had a couple of days of laying around the house, being lazy, I used that time to work on my blog's look...hoping that if I changed it up a bit I would be anxious to write on it!

I WANT to get better at updating...I NEED to get better at updating.

Over spring break, our house was robbed and totally trashed.  It really put me in a funk about taking pictures and uploading them to our computer.  Our computer, a long with a lot of other things, was stolen when they broke.  On that computer was EVERY picture I had ever taken of my kids. My heart was BROKEN.  I mourned for several weeks over loosing all those special moments.  So, in my mind, what was the point of taking pictures if they were going to be taken away anyways.   I have really slacked off since then.  It has taken a long time to get over the robbery. It was the most terrifying and violating thing that I have ever experienced.  My kids have slowly stopped talking about bad guys, and asking why they would take someone's stuff, and I can finally pull into my garage without shaking all over, worried about what I would find inside the house.

Over the last couple of weeks, I have been itching to take pictures...to share what our family was up to!  I have decided that I need to take pictures again, and commit to updating my blog, that way if something like this every happens again, at least I can look back at our blog, at all our special moments.  So, for those of you that are still out there reading my blog, I hope to come much better at this.  I need this for myself.  So here is to a new start!!

The rock the robbers used to break the glass out of our back door.

The door they came through.  Glass was EVERYWHERE, and after almost 6 months, we still find glass in random spaces throughout the house.

All the furniture was moved and everything was gone through...(this is after we put all the pillows back on the couches)  I wish we would have taken a picture of our bedroom, it was the worst.  It looked like a scene out of a movie.

The wall that one of our TVs was on.

They left Camden's piggy bank in the garage after taking it out of her room, so the police tried to finger print it.
